Is this a Western or Vedic horoscope?
Vedic — these readings are built for your Moon sign (Rashi) on the sidereal zodiac, the traditional Indian method, not your Western Sun sign. If you only know your tropical (Western) Sun sign, it usually won't match the sign shown here.
Why Moon sign instead of Sun sign?
Vedic astrology has always used the Moon sign as the anchor for daily and monthly predictions, since the Moon moves fast enough (about one sign every 2-3 days) to reflect short-term shifts that the slower-moving Sun can't. Western horoscope columns use the Sun sign purely because it only needs your birth date, not birth time.
I don't know my Moon sign — what do I do?
Use your Sun sign (based on birth month) as a rough approximation, or generate a free kundli with your exact birth time and place for your precise Moon sign and Nakshatra.
